How to Say “I don’t know” in Finnish

There are multiple ways to say “I don’t know” in Finnish. More interesting than just the phrase is how you can specify what it is you don’t know.

1. “I don’t know” Basic Phrases

2. “I don’t know” with Indirect Questions

The phrase En tiedä is often followed by an indirect question, which can start with a question word (e.g. kuka? missä? miksi?) or with a verb with -ko added to it (e.g. tuletko, tulitko, halusitko).
